We stayed at this park for 3 months this past winter. It is a large park that was created by merging two parks together the Palms and the Oaks. They offer 3 pools (one heated), hot tub and exercise room as well as several club houses. There are plenty of activities bingo, pentanque, shuffleboard, card games, dances and more.

There is a mix of grass and concrete (premium) sites, as well as quite a few permanents. We stayed in the Palms which seemed to have to larger sites than the Oaks, although the concrete sites at the Oaks seemed larger. The Oaks has a large amount of permanent sites. There is a large contingent of French-Canadians, particularly in the Oaks. All that we met were very nice.

There is no cable and the wifi is at best like dial up, unless you use it before 7am. A couple we met paid extra for the internet ‘upgrade’ in hope of getting better use, but it didn’t help. There are quite a few sites that trees might make satellite reception problematic, but a Google satellite view will help you pick a site with decent reception.

For us, the premium sites did not seem worth the extra bucks, and many that we saw in the Palms had quite an initial up-slope to them. We saw several rigs that scraped bottom when backing into and pulling out of them.

The laundry at the Palms had one dryer that was broken for our entire stay. The office told us they were owned by a contracted vendor. We did not use the Oaks laundry, but during our nightly walks we visited several times and did not see any out of service signs.

Due to the campgrounds proximity to I- 4, there was quite a bit of road noise.

All in all, this is a very nice place to winter. The staff and other campers were all friendly, our site was spacious and level. They offer plenty of
activities. It is close to Tampa, Plant City and Brandon for shopping restaurants and things to do.

We have already booked our site for next year.
