Without a doubt this is the nicest KOA we have ever been to. Our site was clean and level, the restrooms and showers were spotless. The entire staff was great and very helpful. Wifi worked well. The campground borders a small lake that is loaded with wildlife such as swans and ducks.
The park offers a nice dog park near the office area.
We stayed for several days and toured Savannah which is a beautiful town. The Old Town Trolley tours will pick you up and return you to the office. Just stop at the office the day before to reserve your spot.
There are several pull-thru sites at the entrance / office area that appear to be for overnighters with water and electric.
Despite this campground being next to Us-17 and near I-95, there was minimal noise, except for an occasional train.
The campground is off exit 87 on I-95. When travelling northbound on I-95 we recommend taking exit 76 and following US17 north to the campground as there was no red light at the end of the northbound off ramp at exit 87 and crossing all 4 lanes of US17 was a challenge with the traffic.
